First Grade News #9
Picture re-takes are Wednesday, Nov. 18th.
Thank you for helping with homework. It is essential that we teach the importance of homework in the early years so it will be carried out throughout their education! Connecting home and school equals success.
Keep practicing those math facts. They will be taught more quickly as the year goes on and it will be easy to be left behind if the facts aren’t practiced.
Keep sending box tops! We’ve collected over 250 so far.
If able, please send non-perishable food for the food drive. We are excited to fill our box!
Last Friday, we had three dental assistant students visit our classroom. They are teaching us about good health and oral hygiene. They visited us for the second time today.
On Monday, we are hearing our international high school students speak about their native countries.
Next Friday the 20th is already the 2nd quarter mid-term! (I can’t believe it!)
Thank you for all the great snacks you’ve been sending. The kids have been well-fed!
As always, thanks for your help and support,
Ms. DeWitt
