Preschool Times Nov. 23, 2009

by Alison Darst

November 23, 2009

*Early Dismissal on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 11:30. No school on Thursday,
Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27. Happy Thanksgiving!

*Thanksgiving Party will be at 2:00 on Tuesday, Nov. 24.

*We will be making bread and butter this week. The children will also be
doing some Thanksgiving projects and books.

*We will be having a gift exchange for Christmas. Please make sure that the
gift can be for both a boy and a girl. The price limit is $5. Do not spend more
then this on the gift. Examples of gifts are: puzzles, coloring books, markers,
games, art supplies, or play dough. You might be able to find some good
deals the day after Thanksgiving. If you are unable to purchase a gift, please
let me know. We want all of the children to receive a gift. We need them
wrapped and to school by Dec. 14. Do not put a name on them.

*The Winter Concert is on Dec. 7 at 7:00 pm. We are participating in the
whole school concert again this year. This way, if you have more then one
child attending school, you will only have to make it to one concert. We will
be singing first.

*Bells are being sent out for our December Bulletin Board. Please decorate,
cut out and send it back to school by December 3. Make sure to include
your whole family in this project and be creative with what you use.

*Book orders are being sent out. They are due on Dec. 3. Books make good
gifts for children. If you are getting them for a gift for your child, I can keep
them here for you to pick up in order for your child not see, or I can also put
them in a bag and place them in your child's backpack. Please let me know.

*Remember to take time with your child during this magical season. I know it
is hard with all that we have going on in our own lives to take time to look at it
through the eyes of our children. By spending time and enjoying it with them
helps make memories that they will have forever. Have fun and share your
special Holiday memories with them. My favorite part of this season is seeing
my boys' eyes light up with the excitement of it all. Seeing the
preschoolers excitement is also great!

*Remember that if you have any questions, please call me or write
me a note in the notebook. Have a great week. I will try to email
after the new year. I want to make sure everyone gets the next
newsletters with all that will be going on.
